Turbidity

Turbidity within the Wet Tropics FBP is generally very low.  Light penetration through the water column will be high and is not likely to be a limiting factor for benthic algal primary production, or for aquatic macrophyte growth. This is evident by the frequency at which aquatic macrophytes were recorded in this FBP.
